Mastering the Muscle Up is NOT for the WEAK!

The Muscle Up is an expert level fitness exercise that few people are able to perform. It requires great athleticism and strength to be able to execute this move. The Muscle Up is a combination of the Pull-Up and the Dip, so isolating these movements and perfecting these first is the best way way to progress.

First start with body weight dips and be sure you can pump out 10-15 of these easily with good form before working on the actual full range of motion muscle up.

Next you’ll need to practice the transition. Coach Zach has some tips to engage and work your Lats, which are going to be key in successfully making that transition over the bar to complete the exercise. Start with some dumbbell pullovers and then work your way to pull-ups away from the bar.
