How To Build Any Skillset For Your Fitness Business

Sounds simple right?

I was answering a question about speaking and being on camera, creating content, at @vagaropro Iconic.22. How do you get to a point where you don’t suck at it and become good?

When you start you’ll suck. As Dave Tate said in his 4 steps of improvement:

S*it ➡️ Suck ➡️ Good ➡️ Great

There’s no way around it, you’ll be s*it or suck at first. You need 2 things to move along that line to become great:

1️⃣ Courage.
2️⃣ Practice (a lot of it, …and then some more).

People will say that it’s second nature to me when it comes to coaching or creating content. Practice over a long time turns into second nature.

Remember, we don’t rise to the occasion, we fall to the level of our training.

There’s no greatness without practice.

Lots of (deliberate practice).

Repetitive practice.

Exhausting, none-crushing, soul-crushing practice.

And yet what emerges from this practice is the opposite three feelings.

☑️ Energy.
☑️ Strength.
☑️ Confidence.

Only you will know what you need to practice every day with focus and gusto, and repeat it thousands and thousands of times.

It won’t be easy, but in that burden of is also freedom and confidence.

The pleasure of the flow state. The rhythm of second nature. The quiet calmness of knowing that, from the practice, you’ll know exactly what to do when it counts…and the pride and dependability of doing it too.

What do you want to become a master at?
