Jake Riley – 5.1 Mile Tempo Run (Jake’s Final Hard Workout)

Jake Riley is ready for the Marathon at the Olympic Games

16 days before the big day – TEAM Boulder head coach Lee Troop assigns Riley a 5.1 mile tempo – a loop many Boulder based athletes have completed as a tempo run that includes a gradual uphill in the first half and a gradual downhill in the second half. Riley runs his fastest time on the loop (by far) looking comfortable. The workout was completed at 5400 feet (1650m) elevation.
