Alright, this is by far the hardest screen in the FMS to perform a 3/3 on…

Not that the FMS is about performing 3/3 anyways; it’s simply a grading system for fundamental movement quality prior to loading up in the gym…

In any case, the rotary stability test looks at fundamental core stability in the sagittal and the transverse planes…

Basically, it’s hard AF to do!

I almost lost it on the right but recovered for reps 2 and 3…

Hey – the FMS says you get 3 tries!

How I was able to do this screen:

– Turkish Get-Ups (every day, as a warm-up)
– lots of kettlebell caries (OH, rack position)
– chop/lift patterns
– pistol squats
– single-arm KB clean + presses
– planks on 1-arm
– listening to heavy metal and old-school rap

Scoring 3/3 on the rotary stability test from the FMS is a real challenge. If you can do it, post a video and tag me!
