How to set up bands for Dynamic Speed and Bodybuilding Barbell Squats

Bands are a solid training tool to add to your strength (or bodybuilding) program. Like any other training method, band training needs to be cycled into your program with some thought process. Making the decision to use them for strength gains or bodybuilding gains will determine the manner in which you use them. But, first you need to understand how to set them up properly.

Our facility is loaded with great gear from Elite FTS and Rogue Fitness so we have solid power racks, band peg setups and Onyx bands to use for this demo. If you are training at a gym without any great equipment like this, you either don’t have access to one, or you need to get into one as fast as possible.

I hope this video helps you understand how to set bands up, but please remember that this is definitely not the only way to set them up, and there are also heavier tension bands that could be used if programmed properly.
